#1 – Alabama Theatre

The Alabama Theatre has been entertaining Myrtle Beach visitors since 1993 with an exciting variety show. This family-friendly venue also frequently hosts performances from guest artists that have included some of the biggest names in country, pop, Motown, and comedy. 

#2 – Broadway at the Beach

One of the most popular Myrtle Beach tourist destinations, this 350 acre attraction features more than 100 boutiques and specialty stores, over 20 restaurants, and several theaters. It is also home to many beloved attractions. A scene from Death Washes Ashore takes place at the Grumpy Monk in Broadway at the Beach. 

#3 – Brookgreen Gardens 

Founded in 1931, this Murrells Inlet area sculpture garden and wildlife preserve blends art with nature and history. They offer a daily selection of tours, programs, and exhibits for all ages to enjoy. 

#4 – The Murrels Inlet MarshWalk

The MarshWalk is a half-mile waterfront boardwalk along an estuary. It is lined with a variety of popular dining options and is frequently home to live music events. A scene in Death on the Causeway takes place here. Personally, I enjoy Bovine’s and Dead Dog Saloon. 

#5 – The Carolina Opry Theater

This elegant venue hosts numerous kinds of events including a variety show, awards ceremonies, corporate meetings and company celebrations, and national touring acts. The auditorium can seat more than 2000 guests and features state-of-the-art equipment. 

#6 – The SkyWheel

Standing at 187 feet, this observation wheel allows guests to ride in a private gondola and take in a view of the city. Sure to be a memorable experience for all ages, dining options are also available, and the SkyWheel accepts group bookings. Sunrise rides are a particularly popular offering.

#7 – Barefoot Landing

This relaxed shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in North Myrtle Beach surrounds a lake. Its specialty shops and wide selection of restaurants makes it an exciting stop for visitors. They host regular events that include fireworks displays. Clark takes his parents to the Flying Fish here in Death on the Causeway. 

#8 – Myrtle Beach State Park

Myrtle Beach State Park stretches 312 acres and has 278 campsites, 30 designated tent sites, and 7 picnic shelters for group gatherings. Opened in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the park also features a fishing pier. This is where Conner West washed ashore in Death Washes Ashore. 

#9 – Pirates Voyage Dinner Show

Visitors can enjoy a four-course pirate feast as they watch an incredible adventure where pirate crews battle in water, land, and on full-size ships. The show also features mermaids, tropical birds, and sea lions.

#10 – Hollywood Wax Museum

Located across from Broadway at the Beach, this museum allows guests to take fun photos with statues of a-list stars and also features other attractions like a maze of mirrors and a zombie-themed adventure.
