Will Grier, David Sills among six WVU players invited to the 2019 NFL Combine with their NFL Draft projections.

Getting an invite to the annual NFL Combine in Indianapolis is a recognition that you are considered one of the best players in college football. This year, six West Virginia Mountaineers received invites. Here they are with their early NFL Draft projections.

  • Will Grier, QB – Rounds 2-3
  • David Long, LB – Rounds 3-5
  • David Sills, WR – Rounds 2-3
  • Yodny Cajuste, T – Rounds 3-5
  • Gary Jennings, WR – Rounds 3-5
  • Trevon Wesco, TE – Round 7

Will Grier will be the one who receives the most attention before, during, and after the event, but David Sills and David Long will get some run and likely work out for a variety of teams before the draft. Cajuste should have several stops on his workout tour as well.

All in all, the 2019 NFL Draft shapes up to be a good one for the Mountaineers. The NFL Combine takes place from March 1-4.
