Caleb Wygal re-releases a revised version of Moment of Impact in paperback and on Kindle

Young Adult novel based entirely in the Summersville, WV area.

Caleb was born and raised in Mt. Lookout, WV and graduated locally from Nicholas County High School in 1998. He went on to publish Moment of Impact in 2006. The new version has been revised and is now available on Kindle.

He wanted to re-release Moment of Impact after his original publishing contract expired in 2014 to bring that story to a new generation of young adults at a much better entry price. The paperback ($9.99) and Kindle ($2.99) versions are available at Amazon.com and could find distribution in brick and mortar stores.

The story is seen from the eyes of a very mature high school student.

Book Synopsis:

Lucas Caine is an average high school student leading an uneventful life in a small West Virginia town. He plays on the football and basketball teams, and has a crush on a girl, Elizabeth, who barely knows that he is alive.

That is, until something rare happens in this small town: a new family moves in. Enter Jake Schofield: an enigmatic and mysterious character who is in the same grade as Lucas and Elizabeth.

Immediately Jake does something causing Lucas and the girl of his dreams to come together, and they start to figure out that something is wrong with Jake and that he has a thing for Elizabeth as well.

As Lucas tries to unravel the mystery of Jake’s past, Jake is busy causing trouble for Lucas and his friends, leading to a crash-bang climax between Jake and Lucas.
Then Lucas’ life may never be the same…

  • Hi Caleb. I was born in Summersville in 1960. I have lived in Concord NC since 1999 with my husband, who works in NASCAR. I published a book earlier this year called “SUMMERSVILLE: My Family’s Life of Privilege, Politics, and Passion in Small-Town West Virginia.” My father was mayor of Summersville from 1957 to 1972.

My sister read to me over the phone the recent article about you in The Nicholas Chronicle. I could not pass up the opportunity to contact you and mention our similarities.

I hope you have wonderful success with your book and your writing career. Feel free to write me at my email address if/when you have time. alicebryantbyrd@gmail.com

    Best of luck to you
